Former Canadian fencing champion, ranked among the top 15 juniors in the world, Mark Chatel is today a film, television and interactive digital media producer. He has over 25 years of experience in the field of production. After having started his career as a radio host with Radio-Canada, and an on-camera sports commentator for the Olympics in Barcelona, Mark worked as a television director for Radio Canada for 5 years. Mark has since then produced and directed two hundreds of hours of documentaries and youth programming that were presented at international festivals such as FICTS (Milan) and Prix Jeunesse (Munich).

 

Entrepreneur in education, Mark Chatel also founded WIGUP.tv (While I Grow UP), designed to transform the education of 9-11 year olds while allowing them to develop their full potential, all through a well thought-out, unique pedagogical approach, created after conducting hundreds of interviews on the deep meaning of life with people from all walks of life. Mark has a Bachelor in Political Science and Economics from the University of Montreal as well as a Masters in Television Production and Media Management from Emerson College in Boston. Mark Chatel is a member of the Clinton Global Initiative in New York for his visionary approach to education. Husband of Carolyne M. Chatel, he is Father of two boys.
